Revlon ColorStay Foundation Review & Swatches.

Revlon ColorStay Foundation has been my holy grail foundation for over 5 years. I’ve used it for a lot of makeup looks on myself and clients. Surprisingly, I never got around to putting up a review post about this awesome foundation. So, a few posts ago, I mentioned it on my list of 10 under 10k beauty products worth buying and promised to share a review and here we are! According to Revlon, the ColorStay Foundation gives a flawless, matte coverage that lasts up to 24 hours. Comfortable, lightweight formula specifically made for combination or oily skin to control oil absorption and shine.

Revlon ColorStay Foundation Review & Swatches.

Packaging : The Revlon ColorStay Foundation comes in a round bottle with a pump applicator.

Formula : It has a lightweight liquid formula.

Application : I usually pump out the quantity needed on the back of my hand using the pump application and apply to my face using a beauty blender or foundation brush.

Swatches – L-R : Mocha (450), Mahogany (440), Cappuccino (410), Caramel (400) & Toast (370).

Pros :

  • Flawless matte finish.
  • Great for oily skin.
  • Medium to full coverage.
  • SPF 15.
  • Long-wearing.
  • Contains salicylic acid to balance skin over time.

Con :

  • I honestly have nothing negative to say about it.

Overall, the Revlon Colorstay Foundation will always be one of the best and affordable foundations in my books. It is very easy to apply, has great coverage and suitable for oily to combination skin. I love that it now has a pump and helps to control how much product comes out at once. I love the flawless look I get whenever I apply this foundation and it doesn’t clog up my pores. It is an absolutely fantastic foundation and I always recommend it to my clients and customers. Little wonder it made it as one of my top 5 foundations for oily skin. I wear a combination of Caramel and Cappuccino during the sunny days but lately, I’ve been wearing Caramel alone as my face is brighter than before.  So, the Revlon comes in a variety of shades for dark skin. However, there are about 6 shades that most Nigerian women wear; Golden Caramel, Toast, Caramel, Cappuccino, Mahogany and Mocha. It’s currently sold for 6,500naira and you can make a purchase directly here.

Do you wear the Revlon Colorstay Foundation? What’s your shade and how do you like it?
